P Balachandran is a native of Anthikkad in Thrissur.  He had contested twice in Legislative assembly election.  He is a member of CPI state council.  And he is CPI’s assistant District secretary.  Also he is former chairman of Kerala Agro Machinery Corporation Limited. He is having an educational qualification of M A Malayalam.

P Balachandran’s wife is Mrs. Sujatha.  He has two children named Akhil Krishna & Aravind Krishna

A Kerala MLA is an Elected Citizen of India from a Kerala Constituency.  He or She need not be a resident of Kerala.  Any Indian can contest the election.  Once elected, the citizen becomes a MLA.  He or She will represent the constituency in Legislate Assembly.  Even though MLA will make or amend laws of Kerala State, an MLA will work for the development and to solve issues related to the citizens of that constituency specifically.  MLA is the person who has the authority of making or amending laws.  It is done at Legislative Assembly where all MLAs of the state are present.
