K P Mohanan is a native of Panoor in Puthoor. He is a leader of Loktanthrik Janata Dal. And he is elected as MLA for fourth term. Also he is former Agriculture Minister. He is having an educational qualification of Aeronautical Engineering. And also he is the son of former Kerala minster P R Kurup.
K P Mohanan’s wife is Mrs. Hemaja. He is having three children named Ram Mohan, Rajila Mohanan & Ramila Mohanan
