The opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly and public who belongs to and stand with the policies of the UDF. Set up are against the proposed K Rail project of Kerala. The Bharatheeya Janatha Party (BJP)-led front also seeking more clarifications about the project and is against the Silverline project. But as leader of the ruling government, chief minister Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan had stated that the government will be moving ahead with the project.
He said the opposing people will understand the fact later and support the project later. Even if some do not support it, the project will be completed at any cost . He said at a function of Kerala Administrative Services staff.
The chief minister also said that the government had enough opposition multiple times during the previous term as well. But all had its natural end and the government did whatever possible during the term ignoring such oppositions.
Completion date of the Silverline
As per the government, the right kind of approach is necessary for every development program. The benefit the railway project is going to bring in is not just for the supporting people and the government – The people who speak against it will also benefit.
The K Rail project is a mega project of the LDF government and it is going to happen at any cost. The Chief minister said. It is a 560 km standard gauge semi high-speed rail project named Silverline that is going to bring down the Thiruvananthapuram – Kasaragod travel time to just 4 hours. It is a project by the Indian Railway Ministry and the Kerala Government. The railway line is going to help commute people faster as well as the goods movement.
There will be a RO-RO rail connection at multiple stations that will help reduce the transportation cost of necessary items that are imported by the consumer state.
As per the CM, the project is going to complete by 2025 consisting of 5 years of LDF government and the land procurement process had already begun.
